Force India jaagt op de zesde plek van McLaren

De teambaas van Force India, Otmar Szafnauer, wil het seizoen van zijn team sterk afsluiten in Abu Dhabi. Force India staat viertien punten achter de zesde plek van McLaren en ze zouden in extremis dus graag nog een plekje op willen schuiven na een bewogen jaar.

"We hebben onszelf in de afgelopen races niet de resultaten bezorgd die we nodig hadden en dat legt daarom meer nadruk op dit weekend. Het scoren van punten is onze prioriteit, aangezien het voor ons een spannend einde van het kampioenschap kan worden", aldus Szafnauer.

De Roemeense teambaas is echter wel tevreden met de tweede helft van het seizoen. "Wat er dit weekend ook mag gebeuren, het is een goede mogelijkheid om te reflecteren op het tweede gedeelte van het seizoen."

"We hebben verschillende resultaten behaald en hebben wat hoogte- en dieptepunten meegemaakt. We hebben wat pech gehad, er zijn een aantal rijdersfouten geweest en er zijn een aantal gebieden waarop we als team kunnen verbeteren. We gaan de lessen die we dit jaar hebben geleerd hoe dan ook meenemen naar volgend jaar."

      Het team is niet zomaar overgenomen hé.
      Men had alles behalve de inschrijving, dus wordt je behandeld als een nieuw team.
      Zo nieuw is die uitleg toch niet.

      Nu een paar maanden later voelt het wel wat vreemd aan inderdaad. Ogenschijnlijk is er niks veranderd aan het team, maar ze zijn wel een groot deel van hun punten kwijt.

      Achter de schermen is er natuurlijk wel een hoop gebeurd, maar de gemiddelde kijker ziet daar weinig tot niks van. Die ziet alleen dat het team niet staat in de ranglijst waar die eigenlijk hoort te staan.

    In een ander artikel staat dat Szafnauer Amerikaan is. Dus wat is het nou? Hij is geboren Roemeen dat is zeker maar is hij nu (ook) genaturaliseerd Amerikaan met paspoort of niet?

    Dan hadden ze de naam niet moeten aanpassen..... Dan stonden ze er al ruim voor..... Maar om in de laatste race nog 15 punten in te lopen.... Dat gaat zelfs FI, met de beste wil van de wereld, niet lukken....

      Het zou theoretisch moeten kunnen. Zolang McLaren maar niet in de punten eindigt en FI maar minimaal, met beide coureurs, best of the rest word. Volgens mij word er bij gelijke stand gekeken naar het aantal beste resultaten en op dat gebied wint FI dan.

      Het document is de inschrijving en dat document zit, of zat in India.
