Overzicht: De beschikbare bandensets per coureur voor de race

Pirelli heeft voorafgaand aan de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi bekendgemaakt welke bandensets de coureurs nog over hebben voor de race. Daarin zijn een aantal kleine verschillen zichtbaar, vooral bij de topteams.

Valtteri Bottas, Lewis Hamilton en Kimi Raikkonen hebben allemaal dezelfde situatie qua banden. De heren hebben geen nieuwe setjes hypersofts meer, maar wel een nieuwe set ultrasofts en supersofts. Max Verstappen en Daniel Ricciardo hebben ook geen nieuwe ultrasofts, maar wel twee nieuwe setjes supersofts. Sebastian Vettel heeft maar een setje nieuwe supersofts en geen nieuwe ultrasofts, maar wel een nieuw setje met hypersofts.

Grote verschillen in de strategieën zullen er vandaag waarschijnlijk niet zijn tussen de topteams. Max Verstappen is de enige die start op hypersofts, de overige vijf coureurs uit de top 6 vangen de race aan op ultrasofts. Pirelli verwacht dat een éénstopper de snelste strategie is, waardoor de meeste coureurs de pits zullen bezoeken voor een setje supersofts.

Mm. moet Max maar een 2 stopper doen, er als een speer vandoor, ss halen , en laatste 15 ronden nog een keer nieuwe ss... Kan wel is goede strategie zijn... Je moet wat proberen he..

  De Used Ultra's zijn het setje dat hij in q2 heeft geprobeerd, daar zit effectief pas 1 rondje op. Die zou hij ook nog kunnen gebruiken.

  @Beschuit met muisjes..... Ik denk dat jij daar helemaal gelijk in hebt.... De topteams proberen zo lang mogelijk op de Hypers te rijden en dan switchen ze allemaal naar de SS om de race uit te rijden....

Vraag me toch af wat iedereen met twee Hypers heeft zitten uitvreten... Simpelweg te weinig op quali gefocust lijkt me dan gezien waar ze ook allemaal staan.

Ergens klopt er iets niet aan dit lijstje. Er zijn rijders die hebben zes setjes en rijders met zeven setjes banden.
