Hamilton verklaart zijn liefde voor twee wielen

Lewis Hamilton is zijn vrije periode in stijl begonnen. Afgelopen weekend testte hij een dag met de YZF-R1-motor en de Engelsman heeft genoten. De vijfvoudig wereldkampioen Formule 1 suggereert zelfs dat hij altijd meer van twee wielen heeft gehouden dan van vier wielen. 

Hamilton racete samen met World Superbike-rijders als Alex Lowes en Michael van der Mark. Op Instagram stuurde de Engelsman een bericht en daarin vertelde hij bijvoorbeeld dat hij ongelooflijk genoten heeft en dat hij dat hij MotoGP-legende Valentino Rosso zo snel mogelijk wil bezoeken in Italië.

"Ik voel me vandaag geweldig. Ik heb op een superbike gereden en ik heb eigenlijk altijd meer van twee wielen gehouden dan van vier wielen. Toen ik een kind was wilde ik altijd al een motor. Niettemin ben ik mijn vader er ontzettend dankbaar voor dat hij een kart heeft gekocht", zegt Hamilton.

"Maar op de motor rijden is mijn nieuwe liefde. Ik heb ongelooflijk veel respect voor de motorrijders en ja, ik houd ervan om op motoren te rijden. Maar deze mannen zijn van een ander niveau, dus ik denk dat ik het gewoon bij het testen houd. Ik wil Valentino Rossi echter wel zo snel mogelijk bezoeken in Italië."

      Geloof mij maar dat ze bij Mercedes van de week in hun broek sch.t.n toen Hammie onderuit ging op de baan met die superbike !
      Als hij iets breekt hebben ze daar een groot probleem, de reden dat Max zoiets niet "mag" vind ik niet meer dan redelijk.
      Een crash met een motor gaat veel vaker goed fout en dan is een coureur snel een tijd uit de running !
