Shanghai verlengt Grand Prix-contract tot en met 2017

De Grand Prix van China is tot en met 2017 verzekerd van een plek op de Formule 1-kalender. Shanghai Daily maakt melding van de contractverlenging, aangekondigd door het sportbureau van de stad Shanghai.

De race op Shanghai International Circuit noteerde de afgelopen jaren verliezen en officials drongen aan op betere voorwaarden. De prijs die organisator Juss Events volgens de nieuwe verbintenis moet betalen aan Formula One Management ligt lager dan voorheen, zo stelt Zhao Wen, viceburgemeester van Shanghai.
