Mercedes laat Hamilton nieuw stoeltje passen voor W10

Het seizoen 2019 is al vroeg begonnen voor Lewis Hamilton. De Brit verscheen zaterdag bij de fabriek van Mercedes en nam daar plaats in namaak-cockpit, zodat zijn zitpositie voor in de nieuwe bolide goed afgesteld kan worden.

Mercedes-coureurs Hamilton en Valtteri Bottas maakten zaterdag beiden hun opwachting bij de fabriek van Mercedes voor het jaarlijkse kerstfeest van het team. Tevens laten beide coureurs een aantal wensen van kinderen voor de Make-a-Wish Foundation in vervulling gaan. Op Instagram Stories laat het team vervolgens zien dat Hamilton plaatsgenomen heeft in het nagemaakte chassis om zijn zitpositie voor in de nieuwe bolide, de W10, te bepalen.

Bottas vertelde aan het team dat hij inmiddels alweer plaatsgenomen heeft in de simulator. "Ik was weer in de fabriek, waar ik twee goede dagen had met veel informatie om doorheen te spitten. We hebben 2018 nabesproken en we beginnen langzaam richting 2019 te bewegen. Ook heb ik in de simulator gezeten, al was dat puur voorbereidend. Ik heb de nieuwe wagen in de windtunnel gezien en dat was erg cool. Het was een goede dag en ik kijk erg uit naar het nieuwe jaar."

  Most een paar flappen, iets meer dan munten dus. Hoewel zover ik weet heeft Mercedes nog nooit een F1 auto weggedaan. Op welke manier dan ook.
