Vettel pept Ferrari-team op in brief aan alle medewerkers

Sebastian Vettel heeft een brief geschreven aan het gehele Ferrari-team en dringt er op aan dat het team meer verenigd is dan ooit tevoren. Ferrari legde het in 2018 opnieuw af tegen Mercedes, terwijl het Italiaanse team dit seizoen over het geheel genomen niet de mindere was van de Duitsers.

"Cari ragazzi, un grande GRAZIE per tutti quanto Voi", zegt Vettel tegenover het Ferrari-team en dat betekent ongeveer: "Beste mensen, een grote dank naar jullie allemaal", waarna de Duitser verder gaat.

"Ook al zijn we niet in staat geweest om de titel terug te brengen naar Maranello, we kunnen uit volle borst zeggen: "We hebben ons best gedaan en daar moeten we mee door blijven gaan. We gaan onze mouwen opstropen, proberen beter te communiceren met vertrouwen en wederzijds respect, dat ons helpt in alles en voor alles."

"Alleen door te blijven samenwerken en eensgezind te zijn kunnen we de volgende stap zetten. Op het gebied van toewijding en enthousiasme zijn we een fantastisch team en ik beloof dat ik in 2019 alles zal geven om het grote doel te bereiken. Ik wens jullie allemaal het beste. Heel erg bedankt. Sebastian."

    Een nieuw jaar met nieuwe kansen voor iedereen, maar eind 2019 is Lewis weer kampioen en moet Seb oppassen dat hij niet wordt afgetroefd door Charles, Max of Valtteri.

      Mercedes heeft de afgelopen 5 jaar alle 10 kampioenschappen vrij eenvoudig gewonnen, zolang die reeks niet doorbroken is blijven ze gewoon de grote favoriet. 2019 kan eigenlijk alleen maar meevallen, tenzij we weer terug gaan naar de uber dominantie van voor 2017.

      V10Lover... Wat ik altijd verdacht vind, is als Ferrari niks zegt over hun progressie in de winter... "Mercedes loopt tegen problemen aan met de motor, Renault heeft veel PK's gevonden volgens Brown, Red Bull kan met Honda nu echt voor de titel strijden" en wat gebeurt er straks? Ferrari vind uit t niets een enorme voorsprong op motorgebied en overklast iedereen. Ik ga er niet gek van opkijken als dit echt gebeurt. Is Mercedes en Hamilton de favoriet? Absoluut. Wordt de Honda en de Renault beter? waarschijnlijk wel. Maar Ferrari heeft zich sinds het hybride tijdperk van -200 PK op Mercedes, terug gewerkt tot de beste motor en de kans dat die motor nog wat beter kan is aardig groot.

      2019 is nog niet geschreven, Ferrari heeft toch wel stappen gezet en 2018 en de zwakheden en de minpunten naar boven gehaald. Dat is alleen goed voor 2019. ben geen ferrari fan, maar voor de sport hoop ik dat ze minstens op gelijke hoogte komt. Aangezien ferrari twee subteams hebt zullen ze wel progressie maken. Ferrari was nog beetje te licht bevonden als team maar volgend jaar is zoiezo nieuwe regels nieuwe kansen. Chassis ontwikkeling heeft voor een deel de das omgedaan, maar de motor is wel sterker geworden ik verwacht ook dat ferrari op dat gebied ook wel stappen hebben gezet. Denk zelf op Mercedes niveau dit jaar ook wel wat tekenen hebben laten zien dat het ook niet optimaal is geweest ingeval van Banden waar ferrari toch gemiddeld beter inwaren volgens mij.. Nu moet vettel zijn hoofd niet verliezen in 2019 want dat bepaald de kampioenschap uiteindelijk vind opzich een goed gebaar naar de personeel

    "Alleen door geen onzin-brieven meer te schrijven maar het op het circuit te laten zien kunnen we de volgende stap zetten. Mijn welgemeende Excuses voor het slechte seizoen. Facta, non verba, Sebastian."
