Heineken: "Doen wat we kunnen om Formule 1 naar Nederland te halen"

Het Nederlandse Formule 1-publiek zou de komst van een Nederlandse Grand Prix toejuichen en zij zijn niet de enige. Ook Heineken hoopt dat de Formule 1 weer jaarlijks langs gaat komen, maar ze zullen niet direct gaan samenwerken met de promotors van het toekomstige evenement.

Heineken is sinds 2016 sponsor in de Formule 1 en tegenwoordig is het ook als titelsponsor aan enkele Grands Prix verbonden. Dar betekent echter niet dat de Nederlandse bierbrouwerij dat ook gaat doen bij een eventuele Grand Prix in Zandvoort of Assen. Dat vertelde Gianluca di Tondo, Senior Director Global Heineken Brand bij Heineken in een interview met Motorsport.com.

“Nee, we hebben een relatie met de Formule 1 en het Formula One Management. Als er een Grand Prix in Nederland komt, dan zullen er natuurlijk wel gesprekken plaatsvinden over onze zichtbaarheid bij de race en dergelijke. Verder kan er op lokaal niveau misschien iets gedaan worden, bijvoorbeeld middels acties voor de consument. Maar zover zijn we nog niet. Die gesprekken hebben dus ook nog niet plaatsgevonden. We zullen in eerste instantie echter met de Formule 1 zelf praten.”

Dat betekent niet dat Di Tondo een Nederlandse Grand Prix niet ziet zitten. Graag zou hij de Formule 1 naar Assen of Zandvoort zien komen. “Het is de Formule 1 die hierover gaat, maar Nederland is ons thuis dus we zullen doen wat we kunnen om hier een Grand Prix te krijgen. Maar nogmaals, het is het Formula One Management dat hier uiteindelijk over beslist.”

Heineken wil in sport altijd neutraal blijven.
Ze sponsoren evenementen geen personen of individuele gevallen binnen een geheel.

Je verkoopt je merk aan heel de wereld niet aan een klein deel.
Sponsor je gericht dat stoot je een ander deel van je publiek af.

  Er zit een vies bijsmaakje aan Heineken. Oktober 2018 "Staking bij Heineken in Zuid-Afrika tegen goedkope zwarte arbeid"
  Wel sponseren in sport, maar niet betalen aan personeel of gewoon mensen ontslaan en ze dan voor de helft van het salaris weer aannemen.

Ik denk dat er helemaal geen GP komt in Nederland, Volgens mij wil LM Assen niet en in Zandvoort leunt iemand prinsheerlijk achterover om te zien wie de opknapbeurt van zijn circuitje gaat betalen.
