Renault veilt Renault Sport Lego-RS17 en e.Dams ZE17-showcar voor het goede doel

Op de retromobielbeurs 2019 zal de Renault Group haar volledig in LEGO gebouwde RS17 en haar e.Dams ZE17-showcar veilen. De opbrengst van deze veiling zal volledig op het conto komen UNICEF France, het kinderfonds van de Verenigde Naties. Deze actie zal gepromoot worden door de Renault-stichting.

De RS17, die gemaakt is op een schaal van 1 op 1, is met 313.000 LEGO-stenen, een reproductie van de auto waarmee het team in 2017 actief was. De auto is uitgevoerd in de gele en zwarte kleuren van Renault Sport Formula One en is voorzien van zware Pirelli-banden. LEGO en Renault hebben de handen ineen geslagen om een unieke kopie te maken van het stuurwiel. Deze samenwerking bekroonde LEGO en Renault om haar veertigste verjaardag in de Formule 1 te vieren. De LEGO-RS17 werd op 30 november 2017 onthuld. Daarna presenteerde Reanult de auto aan het Formule 1-publiek.

De Renault e.Dams is een replica van de auto waarmee men in 2017/2018 aan de start kwam in het Formule E-kampioenschap. De auto is identiek aan het racemodel en is voorzien van een stuur, O.M.P. harnassen, O.Z. velgen en Michelin-banden. Het is een ultramodern werkstuk dat herinnert aan de bijdrage van Renault aan de internationale opkomst van deze nieuwe klasse. Renault onderscheidde zich hier op het gebied van expertise en productie van elektrische voertuigen.

Het evenement zal op 10 februari plaatsvinden en wordt georganiseerd door Artucrial Motorcars. Tijdens de retromobielshow zullen 150 voertuigen in de catalogus te vinden zijn. De prijs van de LEGO-RS17 zal worden geschat tussen de dertig en vijftigduizend Euro. Voor de e.Dams-showcar mag de liefhebber waarschijnlijk tien toen twintigduizend euro betalen.
