Valencia: "Niet om andere voorwaarden voor Grand Prix gevraagd"

De organisatie van de Grand Prix van Europa op het stratencircuit van Valencia weerspreekt een verzoek voor een lagere prijs voor de race ingediend te hebben. Dat liet Gerardo Camps, minister van Economie in de regio, aan persbureau EFE weten.

Wij zijn ons niet bewust van bezig zijnde onderhandelingen. De overheid heeft tot op heden nooit gevraagd om de voorwaarden van ons contract met de organisatie van de Formule 1 te veranderen, aldus Camps. Hij ontkende tevens dat Valencia over de rekening voor 2010 niet betaald heeft.
