Ferrari-test van Davide Rigon valt letterlijk in het water

Superleague Formula-kampioen Davide Rigon moet geduld opbrengen voor zijn eerste test in een Formule 1-auto van Ferrari. De Italiaan zou gisteren op het circuit van Fiorano achter het stuur van de F60 uit 2009 kruipen, maar door de vele regen is dat tot nader order uitgesteld.

Rigon, die in 2005 al eens testte voor Minardi, blijft er koel onder. Ik weet dat ik een nieuwe kans krijg. Die praktijkervaring zou een enorme boost voor mijn ontwikkeling kunnen zijn als aanvulling op mijn virtuele ervaring.

Jules Bianchi, onderdeel van het opleidingsprogramma van Ferrari, reed wel kortstondig. Jammer dat het maar een paar rondjes betrof. Gelukkig heb ik nog wel wat geleerd van de vergadering met de engineers, wat hopelijk van pas komt dit jaar in de GP2.

Ferrari kondigde ook aan dat teamsponsor Santander haar naam tevens verbindt aan de Ferrari Driver Academy.
