De V6-turbomotoren beginnen in 2019 aan hun zesde seizoen in de Formule 1. Andy Cowell, de technisch directeur van de motorafdeling van Mercedes, legt in een YouTube-video uit wat er anders is aan de krachtbron van 2019, welke rol brandstof en olie speelt in de betrouwbaarheid van de motor en wat de bevindingen in de Formule 1 uiteindelijk betekenen voor de motoren in de straatauto's.
