Sauber presenteert Mitsubishi Electric als technische partner

Mitsubishi Electric is met onmiddellijke ingang een technische partner van het team van Sauber. Beide partijen werken reeds zes jaar samen en breiden die relatie nu uit. Mitsubishi Electric leverde al eroding machines en voorziet de Zwitserse renstal voortaan ook van robots voor het lamineren van carbon componenten. In ruil daarvoor komt het logo van Mitsubishi op de pitschermen, persberichten en aanhangers van Sauber.

Sauber-teambaas Peter Sauber: Mitsubishi Electric was de afgelopen zes jaar al een belangrijke partner. Mitsubishi leverde reeds een aanzienlijke technische bijdrage door de levering van eroding machines en deze samenwerking is uitgebreid naar laminerende robots. Wat mij betreft is het uitermate waardevol dat deze lange partnerschap de tand des tijds heeft doorstaan in een moeilijke periode voor ons team.

Hans-Jürgen Pelzers van Mitsubishi Electric: We zijn blij dat we na zes jaar als partner van Sauber de coöperatie voor de komende jaren intensiveren. In toevoeging tot de levering van eroding machines zullen we geavanceerde engineering gebruiken om de productie uit te breiden met industriële robots. Mitsubishi Electric is een toonaangevende firma op alle technologische aspecten en daarom past de Formule 1 bij ons. Dat Kamui Kobayashi nu voor Sauber rijdt is een extra aanmoediging.

Mooi om de Japanse inbreng te zien groeien bij Sauber. Kobayashi verdient de steun wel na zo\'n geweldig seizoen.

Dit verdiend die Peter Sauber wel. Een integer persoon, altijd voor zijn renstal opgekomen. Ook in slechte tijden. Kijk wat hij vorig jaar aan sponsors had, en zie nu. Een groot bedrijf die hem flink ondersteund met geld (Telmex) en nu de Japanners die hem hi-tech machine\'s gaan leveren. En nu hopen dat Sauber een flinke stap richting podium gaat maken. Ik gun het hem/ze iig van harte.
