Documentaire over Schumacher krijgt nog in 2019 première

Er zal later dit jaar een officiële documentaire over Michael Schumacher komen. Het initiatief van die film wordt volledig gesteund door de familie van de zevenvoudig wereldkampioen, die in 2013 zwaargewond raakte bij een ski-ongeluk.

De titel van de film, die de eenvoudige titel 'Schumacher' zal gaan dragen, wordt gesteund door een grote productiemaatschappij. De documentaire zal onder andere interviews met onder andere Michael's vader Rolf, zijn vrouw Corinna, kinderen Gina en Mick en vele hoofdrolspelers die hij in zijn Formule 1-carrière tegenkwam. Daarnaast zal de film niet eerder vertoond beeldmateriaal bevatten.

De film wordt gemaakt door Michael Wech en Hanns-Bruno Kammertons. Deze award-winnende Duitse filmmakers hebben eerder samengewerkt aan documentaires over tennisser Boris Becker en muzikant Udo Jurgens. De documentaire is momenteel in post-productie. De film wordt geproduceerd door B | 14 Film en DCM, terwijl Rocket Science verantwoordelijk is voor de distributie van de film.

Documentaire behandelt vele facetten van Schumacher

Volgens Rocket Science zal de film over Schumacher 'de vele facetten van deze complexe man verkennen: de meedogenloze Formule 1-coureur, de ambitieuze jongen met een droom, de gewone monteur, de betrouwbare teamspeler en de toegewijde vriend en vader'. Om de film kracht bij te zetten heeft de hele familie Schumacher zich achter het idee van de film geschaard.

"Het is een belangrijk jaar voor Michael Schumacher," zegt producer Benjamin Seikel, "met zijn 50ste verjaardag in januari en het 25 jarig jubileum van zijn eerste wereldtitel in november. We zijn uitgelaten dat we het vertrouwen krijgen van Michael Schumacher's familie en management. Zonder hun steun zou deze film niet mogelijk zijn."

  Klopt, maar ook toen begon zijn dominantie met Ferrari te vervelen. Elk race weer MSC op P1. Megaprestatie van hem, begrijp me niet verkeerd. Net zoals nu met Mercedes. Maar ik ging toen wel verlangen naar wat verandering.

En waarschijnlijk weer niks te horen ,laat staan te zien,, is over zn huidige toestand.. De rest is nagenoeg alles wel bekend en uitgekauwd , als je een die-hard fan bent kan je uren doorbrengen op You-tube ,waarschijnlijk meer te zien dan welke docu dan ook ...

  Ik wil me Schumi graag herinneren als de topcoureur die hij was, ik zit er helemaal niet op te wachten om hem in een "toestand" te zien waarin ik denk dat hij momenteel verkeerd.
