Video: Koense: "Nederland heeft terugkeer Nederlandse GP aan Verstappen te danken"

In 2020 staat er voor het eerst in 35 jaar weer een Nederlandse Formule 1-race op het programma. Volgens Mark Koense, team manager van Racing Team Nederland, mogen de Nederlandse autosportfans Max Verstappen daar heel dankbaar voor zijn.

Komend weekend staat de 24 uur van Le Mans op het programma en voorafgaand aan de race nam team manager Koense de tijd om te reflecteren op een belangrijke gebeurtenis in de Nederlandse autosporthistorie: de terugkeer van de Nederlandse Grand Prix in 2020. Volgens Koense is er maar een reden dat die race weer op de kalender staat: de rijzende ster van Max Verstappen.

Ook blikte Koense vooruit op de toekomstplannen van Racing Team Nederland, dat ook in 2019-20 weer actief zal zijn in het FIA WEC. Gaat het team hogerop? Dat ligt volgens de manager helemaal aan de plannen die teameigenaar en coureur Frits van Eerd heeft met de renstal.

Dus er mag ook wel een bedankje van af richting de fans zelf die toch een hele hoop geld uitgeven.
Blijkbaar dringt dat niet bij iedereen door.

    Zeker de aanjager, maar voor 2016, was dat zeker niet het geval. Handjevol liefhebber (mijzelf incluis) volgde zijn verrichtingen, Terwijl Max al bezig was zichzelf pijlsnel in de kijkert te rijden. Dus de successupporter hebben daar een groot aandeel in gehad.

    Deels , het komt door Max , maar ook omdat veel Nederlands formule 1 een leuke sport vinden om naar te kijken en velen er behoorlijk fanatiek in zijn om te volgen
    Er zijn ook landen die hebben weinig tot helemaal niks met de formule 1, daar hoef je dan ook geen grand prix te organiseren , ook niet als er een coureur meedoet uit dat land
