Vettel ontwikkelde 'geen consistent gevoel' met Ferrari tijdens derde kwalificatiedeel

Een domper van jewelste voor Ferrari en Sebastian Vettel. De Duitser kwam in Q3 in Frankrijk niet verder dan de zevende tijd. Hij kreeg niet een consistent gevoel met de auto, nadat hij zijn eerste run moest afbreken.

In die eerste run kampte Vettel met een probleem met de versnellingsbak, wat ertoe leidde dat de viervoudig wereldkampioen die poging staakte. Daarna kwam hij nogmaals de baan op, maar het lukte hem niet om een goede ronde aan elkaar te knopen. Vettel start daardoor zondag vanaf P7, zelfs achter beide McLaren's. Voor de race verwacht hij betere prestaties.

"Ik weet niet of het drie keer problematisch was in Q3, maar in ieder geval wel twee keer. Het was natuurlijk niet ideaal. Het was een vreemde sessie, waarin ik geen consistent gevoel met de auto kreeg. Ook haalde ik er vandaag niet het maximale uit en daar kan ik niet blij mee zijn. Aan de andere kant kijk ik alvast vooruit naar morgen, wanneer het veel normaler zou moeten verlopen. In de race zou het consistenter moeten zijn, dus we zullen zien wat morgen brengt."

Vettel kon vierde versnelling niet selecteren

Vettel klaagde in zijn eerste snelle ronde in Q3 dus over problemen met de versnellingsbak van zijn Ferrari. De Duitser vertelde na de sessie helder waar het voor hem verkeerd ging: bij het uitkomen van bocht 9, de chicane op Mistral Straight, lukte het niet om de vierde versnelling te selecteren, wat hem veel snelheid kostte.

"Ik weet niet waarom ik bij het uitkomen van bocht 9 ineens een versnelling miste bij het opschakelen. Ik kon de vierde versnelling daar niet selecteren en daardoor miste ik zoveel momentum, dat het geen zin had om de ronde af te maken. In de laatste ronde lukte het vervolgens niet om hetzelfde gevoel met de auto te hebben als daarvoor."

Vettel zat in zijn eerste rit achter hamilton, toen hij hem zag verdwijnen meter per meter wilde hij zijn Ferrari nog een versnelling hoger plaatsen maar die had hij niet, daarom is zijn pookje stuk

Weer een smoesje om ermee weg te komen net als in Canada, blijven hameren op zijn overwinning terwijl hij zelf die het veroorzaakt had. Onze diffuser koning bakt er niks van zonder de diffuser. Ik vergeet nooit dat moment vs Mark Webber in Malaysia terwijl ze afgesproken hadden en hij gewoon kakt had en schijnheilig lachen met de overwinning. Gewoon je verdiende loon zoek gereden door Ricciardo en nu Le Clerc

  Juist het staat 6-2 in kwali en 5-1 in de races (waar ze beide aan de finish kwamem), maar laten we even eerlijk zijn, Monaco telt gewoon aangezien Leclerc hem zelf in de muur knalt 6-1.
  
  Dat is beter dan jouw favorietje dit seizoen, echter heeft die een onaantastbare auto vergeleken
