Pirelli selecteert compounds C2, C3 en C4 voor Mexicaanse Grand Prix

Pirelli heeft onthuld welke bandencompounds de teams mogen selecteren voor de Grand Prix van Mexico. Wederom zullen dat de C2's, C3's en C4's zijn.

Meerdere weken voorafgaand aan een Grand Prix selecteert bandenleverancier Pirelli de compounds die bij die race gebruikt zullen worden. De teams krijgen vervolgens de kans om hun eigen selectie door te geven aan het Italiaanse bedrijf. Dit jaar zijn er vijf bandencompounds die Pirelli kan selecteren, met de benamingen C1 (de hardste compound) tot en met C5, de zachtste bandensoort.

De combinatie C2, C3 en C4 is tot dusver de meest populaire combinatie gebleken en ook in Mexico zullen de teams over deze compounds beschikken. De C2 is de hardste compound en krijgt de witte wangen op het Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, terwijl de C3's een gele kleur krijgen en de C4's rode belettering op de wang zullen hebben staan.

wel jammer dat ze dit jaar nog geen enkele keer een compound hebben overgeslagen. Vorig jaar een paar keer en volgens mij leverde dat interessante en verrassende ontwikkelingen in die races op.
