Regen op Hockenheim, natte start van Duitse Grand Prix dreigt

De weersomstandigheden op Hockenheim zijn volledig omgeslagen. Daar waar het vrijdag nog uitzonderlijk warm was, is het zo'n anderhalf uur voor aanvang van de Duitse Grand Prix nat op het circuit.

Oorspronkelijk werden er al regenbuien voorspeld rond de kwalificatie op zaterdag, maar daar kwam het uiteindelijk niet van. Zaterdagavond begon het echter met regenen en sindsdien vallen er geregeld buien op en in de omgeving van Hockenheim. Ook op zondag is het weer in Duitsland zeer wisselvallig te noemen.

Porsche Supercup afgebroken na crash in regen

De wedstrijd van de Porsche Supercup moest eerder vandaag afgebroken worden. Mede door de regen was er een groot incident, waarbij zes auto's crashten. Daarna werd besloten om de race tot een vroegtijdig einde te brengen. Even later legde Mick Schumacher zijn tweede demonstratie van het weekend in de Ferrari F2004 af en ook dat gebeurde op een natte baan.

De coureurs zijn inmiddels bezig met de drivers parade en dat zorgt voor opvallende taferelen. De coureurs werden stuk voor stuk in een cabrio over de Hockenheimring gereden, maar tijdens deze parade begon het wederom te regenen. Het asfalt is nog altijd flink nat, maar het is nog altijd de vraag of de race onder natte condities verreden gaat worden. De vooruitzichten zijn dat er tussen 14.00 en 15.00 nog altijd 90 procent kans op neerslag is.

Diegene op p1 heeft veel beter zicht dan de rest. Verstappen moet Lewis snel proberen in te halen en dan zijn eigen race rijden. Maar Lewis haal je uiteraard niet zomaar in. Hij is een van de beste in de regen.

  Ik heb Verstappen Rosberg wel eens zien inhalen na een safety car start. Dat was 1 van de mooiste inhaalacties ooit. We zien het wel.

Voorheen waren regenwedstrijden wel leuk , maar tegenwoordig worden die wedstrijden stilgelegd en is het vaak een lange zit voor de tv en kan het behoorlijk langdradig worden , ik had nu liever geen regen gezien aldaar , zeker omdat Red Bull en Mercedes bijna even sterk zijn was het droog ook spannend geweest
