Tussenrapport 2019: Verstappen en Hamilton blinken uit in eerste seizoenshelft

De teams en coureurs genieten momenteel van een welverdiende vakantie: pas over iets minder dan drie weken staat er weer een Grand Prix op het programma. Maar welke coureur scoorde de beste gemiddelde cijfers in de eerste seizoenshelft?

Het antwoord daarop is Max Verstappen. De coureur van Red Bull Racing maakt het hele seizoen al indruk met goede races en in de laatste vier races voor de zomerstop wist hij zijn niveau nog verder op te krikken. Mede door twee tienen voor de races in Duitsland en Hongarije staat Verstappen met een 8,92 als gemiddelde cijfer bovenaan in het klassement.

Lewis Hamilton moet genoegen nemen met een tweede plek op deze lijst, maar met een 8,54 is hij wel een van de twee coureurs die gemiddeld hoger dan een 8 scoort. De nummer 3 op de ranglijst is de sterk opererende Carlos Sainz met een 7,83. De lijst wordt afgesloten door Pierre Gasly en Robert Kubica, die respectievelijk een 5,75 en een 5,48 krijgen voor hun optredens dit seizoen.

Aardig representatief rapport denk ik. Misschien dat Magnussen en Leclerc wat te laag staan, maar voor de rest klopt het wel.

Verstappen/Sainz/Kvyat.

Voor mij de beste 3 rijders de eerste seizoenshelf. Lewis doet zijn werk natuurlijk ook gewoon weer. Maar die 3 hebben dingen laten zien wat eigenlijk schier onmogelijk leek. Sainz vooral om zijn constantheid. Verstappen natuurlijk omdat hij er echt elke training/kwali en race alles uithaalt en Kvyat om zijn comeback met als beloning een podium.

Norris/Russell mogen eigenlijk ook niet vergeten worden. 2 jonge honden die gewoon snel zijn. Leclerc heeft ook zo zijn dagen en die kan heel snel zijn maar die maakt teveel foutejes. Gaat er ook wel uit maar voorlopig nog geen absolute top.

Vettel/Bottas . Tja daar is wel genoeg over gezegd. Gewoon zwak alle 2.

  Hij heeft het rijders lijstje gekopieerd en daarna zijn cijfers gegeven die hij de rijders toegeeft. Ik had Sainz een 9 gegeven en Kvyat zeker een 8.5. Verder wel redelijk mee eens.

Hier kloppen een aantal dingen niet echt (naar mijn mening) , want waarom is er maar een verschil van 0.08 tussen Stroll en Perez terwijl Perez elk weekend zijn auto in Q2 of Q3 zet en, Stroll heeft dit seizoen pas 1 keer Q2 gehaald.

En waarom staat Grosjean hoger dan Magnussen? Hij ramt op Silverstone z'n teamgenoot eraf en op dat zelfde circuit spint ie al in de pitstraat.
