Silverstone bevestigt datum voor de Grand Prix van Groot-Brittannië

De Grand Prix van Groot-Brittannië in 2020 stond lange tijd op losse schroeven, maar op de woensdag voor het raceweekend in Silverstone werd er aan alle onduidelijkheden een einde gemaakt met een nieuw contract van 5 jaar. Silverstone heeft nu de datum bevestigd voor de Britse Grand Prix in 2020, dat net zoals vorig jaar in juli zal plaatsvinden. De datum is ten opzichte van vorig jaar wel veranderd, het weekend begint op vrijdag de 17e en eindigt op de 19e, wanneer de race zelf zal plaatsvinden.

Kaarten voor het evenement zijn vanaf nu te koop. De directeur van Silverstone hoopt het uitverkochte publiek te belonen met een mooie race. "We kijken er erg naar uit om volgend jaar weer een race te organiseren", aldus Stuart Pringle tegenover GPToday.net. "Onze extra's ter ere van 70 jaar Formule 1 zullen een extra hoogtepunt zijn en ik zou de fans aansporen om zo snel mogelijk hun tickets te kopen om vanaf een goede plek te kunnen genieten van een van de beste sportevenementen van Groot-Brittannië."
