FIA bevestigt voorlopige F1-kalender: Zandvoort op 3 mei 2020

De FIA heeft zojuist de voorlopige F1-kalender voor 2020 bekend gemaakt. Het zal een historische kalender worden vanwege de lengte met maar liefst 22 races. Dit was vooral de wens van Liberty aangezien de eigenaar van de F1 de kalender graag de komende jaren ziet groeien naar 25 races per seizoen.

Tien races worden gehouden in Europa, zeven in Azië, vier in Noord & Zuid Amerika en één in Australië. Het 70e seizoen in de Formule 1 gaat traditiegetrouw van start in Melbourne, op 15 maart 2020 en zal 29 november 2020 eindigen met de laatste Grand Prix van het seizoen in Abu Dhabi.

GP Zandvoort op 3 mei 2020

Grote vraag voor de Nederlandse fans was wanneer de Grand Prix in Zandvoort zou plaatsvinden. De FIA maakt bekend dat Zandvoort de eerste Europese Grand Prix krijgt, op 3 mei 2020. Het weekend erna zal meteen de Grand Prix van Spanje plaatsvinden, dat eerder deze week haar contract verlengde.

Monza nog onzeker

Hoewel Italië met de Grand Prix op Monza op de kalender staat is het nog niet 100% zeker. Er staan twee sterretjes bij het evenement, dat door zal gaan als het contract vernieuwd zal worden. De FIA gaat er echter vanuit dat dit zal gebeuren, anders zal het Monza niet hebben meegenomen in de voorlopige kalender voor 2020.

BAM! Gelijk beginnen met een back-to-back. Dat is lekker! Een hele winter wachten, weken van tevoren al kwispelend wachten op de eerste (meestal saaie) race. En nu gelijk een overdosis aan het begin. Mooi zo!

Bakoe en Montreal als back to back... Dat wordt flink opschieten met de spullen verhuizen.... Bij de GP an het einde van het seizoen zit wel weer meer logica dan dit jaar door de USA nu voor Mexico te plaatsen.

V.w.b. Zandvoort heb ik te doen met alle veiligheidsdriehoeken in het land die het al maximaal druk hebben met 75 jaar bevrijding. Dat wordt een pittig weekje!

Mmm, ik weet het niet hoor, de messen worden door de tegenstanders geslepen.
Tister nog niet doorheen met de GP.
Iedereen heeft er 'n mening over, en toch zeker al die activisten.

  Helemaal met jou eens Ouw-sjagerijn....Als F1 liefhebber moeten we met z'n allen blij zijn dat het hier komt. Voor mij komt logistiek Zandvoort het beste uit, maar als het Assen was geweest, hoopte ik er ook bij te zijn.

Ik ga weer lekker naar Oostenrijk! Chalet met vier slaapkamers voor €50 per nacht pp (vier nachten), goede tribune plaatsen. Heb er nu al zin in. Inclusief vliegreis, trein van Wenen naar verblijfplaats , kosten verblijfsplaats en ticket voor GP betaal ik zo'n €600 voor vier dagen vertier met vrienden die ik niet vaak zie.
