Sinds 2014 werkt de Formule 1 met een systeem waarbij coureurs strafpunten op hun superlicentie kunnen krijgen. Hoe staan de coureurs er na de Italiaanse Grand Prix van 2019 voor qua verzamelde punten?

Sebastian Vettel moet na zijn fout en de daaropvolgende inschattingsfout bij het terugkeren op de baan oppassen voor een schorsing. Een coureur mag binnen twaalf maanden twaalf strafpunten verzamelen. Vettel had er al zes en kreeg voor zijn actie op Monza nog drie strafpunten, waardoor zijn totaal over het afgelopen jaar nu op negen strafpunten staat. Pas op 19 oktober vervallen er weer punten, waardoor hij voorzichtig zal moeten zijn de komende races.

Max Verstappen is juist een van de coureurs die in Italië wat strafpunten verloor. De coureur van Red Bull Racing stond een tijd lang bovenaan het strafpuntenlijstje met zeven stuks, maar in Monza vervielen de twee strafpunten die hij vorig jaar kreeg voor de botsing met Valtteri Bottas.

  Max zit ff in een dipje, maar die knokt zich zoals altijd wel weer terug naar voren. En nu hij uitgerekend door Ocon is ingehaald, zal hij niet één, maar wel twee tandjes gaan bijzetten.

  Die heeft nog de nodige punten van vorig jaar op zijn scorekaart staan.
  Kubica staat er bijvoorbeeld niet in, maar die rijdt dan ook altijd zo ver achteraan dat het voor hem bijna onmogelijk is om in dit klassement punten te verzamelen.
  
  Belangrijker is alleen of Vettel de komende 3 races geen gekke dingen gaat doen.
  Als hij in Singapore, Rusland of Japan 3 punten weet te verzamelen, mag hij een wedstrijd op de bank zitten.
  Ik geloof ook niet dat Marchionne dat zou accepteren en dan zou dit jaar zeker zijn laatste seizoen Ferrari worden….

Aan die 12 strafpunten zal Vettel toch niet komen mag ik hopen. Zou een stunt wezen als hij geschorst zou worden. Verder vraag ik me hoe wordt beoordeeld hoe ze die straf punten geven.
