Emanuele Pirro assisteert stewards in Maleisië

De internationale autosportbond FIA heeft Emanuele Pirro voor de Maleisische Grand Prix opgeroepen om het team van racestewards te versterken. Het is voor de 49-jarige Italiaan de tweede keer dat hij die rol bekleedt. Eerder stond hij in 2010 in Abu Dhabi de stewards bij.

Pirro reed tussen 1989 en 1991 veertig Grands Prix in de Formule 1 voor Benetton en Scuderia Italia. Hij scoorde daarin drie punten. Pirro is vooral bekend vanwege zijn successen in de 24 uur van Le Mans. De Italiaan schreef die lange afstandsrace vier maal op zijn naam.
