Scuderia Toro Rosso vraagt naamswijziging aan

Het team van Scuderia Toro Rosso heeft een naamswijziging aangevraagd. De Formule 1-teams hebben de naamswijziging al goedgekeurd, nu ligt de bal bij de Formula 1 Commission. De Italiaanse renstal van Red Bull vanaf volgend seizoen uitkomen onder de naam Scuderia Alpha Tauri Honda

Alpha Tauri is de naam van een modemerk dat wordt gerund door Red Bull en dat in 2016 op de markt gebracht werd. GPToday.net vernam dat de naamswijziging is aangevraagd. Om de verandering door te laten gaan, is nu de goedkeuring van de F1-commissie vereist.

Het voorstel zou de chassisnaam van Toro Rosso veranderen van 'Scuderia Toro Rosso (STR14)' in 'Scuderia Alpha Tauri' en de teamnaam veranderen van 'Red Bull Toro Rosso' in 'Scuderia Alpha Tauri Honda'.

    De eerste aanwijzingen dat Torro Rosso in de nabije toekomst overgenomen gaat worden door Honda?

      Ik denk dat vanaf 2021 veel meer gaat veranderen in de Formule 1, dan dat het ons lief is.

      het is gewoon een manier om het kledingmerk van Red Bull onder de aandacht te brengen, Tauri is ook gewoon stier/stieren in het latijn(ook wel bekend van de Taurine die in Red Bull zit)

      en als je op de site kijkt zit de stier van Red Bull ook in het logo van Alpha Tauri, dus heeft het echt niks met Honda te maken

      Misschien wordt Toro Rosso gewoon een marketing campagne van RB. Op de achtergrond nog steeds (net als Alfa Sauber Romeo) een team met banden aan het hoofdmerk RB... maar iets meer op eigen benen ook qua sponsor vrijheid.

    Ben benieuwd hoe lang Olav nog ‘ToroRosso’ blijft zeggen. De Blauwgele Renault v Alonso Fisichella noemde hij nog tergend lang Benetton. Force India en Sauber komt ook nog standaard uit zijn mond. Dus daar durf ik inmiddels wel op in te zetten.
    Alpha Tauri.. Ja, die naam pakt wel volgens mij. En Plooij dacht al dat de hoofdkleur zwart werd, met witte accenten. Ben wel benieuwd..

      Dat lijkt mij wel een zekerheidje. Zal richting de kleurstelling van de huidige Haas gaan als ik het logo zie van Alpha Tauri. Maar dan gebruik van wit ipv goud. Maar Red Bull kennende zal het wel iets frivoler/uitdagender worden
