Mission Winnow keert terug in Japan terug als titelsponsor Ferrari

De livery van Ferrari gaat waarschijnlijk op de schop voor de Grand Prix van Japan. De kans is groot dat titelsponsor Mission Winnow weer terugkeert op de bolides van Charles Leclerc en Sebastian Vettel.

Ferrari wordt al sinds jaar en dag gesponsord door tabaksfirma Philip Morris International, dat lange tijd met Marlboro op de rode bolides vertegenwoordigd was. Ook na het verbod op tabaksreclame bleef PMI Ferrari sponsoren. Vorig jaar koos het bedrijf ervoor om haar sponsorruimte op de bolides weer te benutten met Mission Winnow, wat volgens PMI een informatieve campagne is en geen reclame voor tabaksproducten.

De sponsoring werd geïntroduceerd tijdens de Grand Prix van Japan in 2018, waarna de teamnaam in 2019 officieel Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow werd. Tot nu toe was de sponsoring vanwege de wetten op het gebied van tabaksreclame alleen tussen de races in Bahrein en Monaco te zien op de SF90. In de overige races koos het team ervoor om logo's ter ere van het 90-jarig bestaan van Ferrari op de bolides te plakken.

Bijna vijf maanden na Monaco lijken de logo's van Mission Winnow terug te keren bij Ferrari. Na enkele maanden door het leven gegaan te zijn als Scuderia Ferrari rijdt het team in Japan weer onder de naam Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow. Hoewel Ferrari nog niet bevestigd heeft dat de logo's ook weer terugkeren op Suzuka, lijkt dit gezien de naamswijziging een formaliteit.

  Zat ik mij eerst ook af te vragen, maar Mission Winnow is natuurlijk maar een beperkt deel en niet een compleet nieuwe livery.... Net als andere teamsindien ze tijdens het seizoen een nieuwe/andere sponsor krijgen (zie Haas)

  Het hoeft ook niet op de auto te staan. Alle berichten over wel of niet genereren meer publiciteit. De media laten zich gewoon gebruiken.

Wel toevallig nu Ferrari als een raket gaat dat MW weer terug keert onder het mom van "Het mag in Japan."
Mij maakt 't geen zak uit,er sterven meer mensen aan drank dan aan roken en Heineken is gewoon nog een dikke sponsor.
