Max Verstappen aanwezig bij persconferentie in Verenigde Staten

De FIA heeft bekendgemaakt wie er aanwezig zullen zijn bij de persconferenties voor de coureurs en hoge teamleden op respectievelijk donderdag en vrijdag. Max Verstappen is een van de geselecteerden.

De FIA organiseert op de donderdag voorafgaand aan een Grand Prix altijd een persconferentie waarbij een aantal coureurs aanwezig zijn om vragen van de pers te beantwoorden. Deze persconferentie in Austin gaat om 18.00 uur Nederlandse tijd van start met vijf coureurs: Lando Norris (McLaren), Lance Stroll (Racing Point), Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing), Pierre Gasly (Scuderia Toro Rosso) en George Russell (Williams).

Een dag later organiseert de internationale autosportbond eenzelfde persconferentie voor teambazen. Deze bijeenkomst begint om 17.00 uur Nederlandse tijd en ook hier zijn vijf aanwezigen: Mattia Binotto (Ferrari), Zak Brown (McLaren), Cyril Abiteboul (Renault), Franz Tost (Toro Rosso) en Claire Williams (Williams) zullen de media toespreken in Austin.

Ook op zaterdag en zondag volgen er nog persconferenties na respectievelijk de kwalificatie en de race. In beide gevallen worden de coureurs uit de top 3 bij deze persmomenten verwacht.

      ik vind dit zó walgelijk, is er wat gebeurd mag je gelijk op komen draven voor de pers om alles nog een keer uit te zuigen.
      Als ik Max was (of ieder andere coureur) zou ik gewoon zeggen: dit hebben we besproken en ik praat hier verder niet over naar buiten. Walgelijke pers, nou ja niet allemaal, maar de meesten proberen een coureur nog lekker even uit de tent te lokken

    Voor sensatie zouden ze ook Hamilton, Vettel en Bottas erbij moeten zetten en alle "acties" even stap voor stap door moeten nemen. De snelste kwalificatieronde van Verstappen én van Hamilton, Het verdedigen bij de start van Vettel op Hamilton, de eerste/tweede bocht van Hamilton en Verstappen en de inhaalactie van Verstappen op Bottas.

      Het zou wat zijn als Verstappen over al deze onderwerpen een perfect verhaal af kan steken, zoals een politicus, vooraf netjes ingestudeerd zodat er geen ruimte is voor interpretatie.
