Organisatie GP Canada na nieuw weekendformat: "Vrijdag is voor ons de belangrijkste dag"

De FIA en Liberty zijn samen met de teams aan het discussiëren over de nieuwe reglementen. De reglementen bevatten onder andere dat het weekendformat van vier naar drie dagen gaat, zodat de teamleden wat meer tijd hebben om te rusten. De huidige opzet voor een F1-weekend is dat de teams op donderdag hun persmomenten hebben, vrijdag trainingen, zaterdag training en kwalificatie en op zondag de race. Het plan is om de persmomenten op vrijdag te doen, zaterdag de trainingen en zondag de race en kwalificatie. Het circuit van Montreal verzette zich tegen het tweedaagse weekendformat, omdat vrijdag de belangrijkste dag is voor het circuit.

Toch opluchting na verduidelijking idee

Montreal, dat gastheer is van de Canadese GP, was echter tegen dit idee. Dum Dumontier, die in de organisatie zit vertelde het volgende: "Vrijdag is voor ons een heel belangrijke dag."

Ondertussen kwamen de teams overeen de persconferentie van donderdag en andere evenementen af te schaffen. "In feite maakte ik me zorgen toen ik over deze nieuwe opzet hoorde. Maar na de gesprekken in Austin was ik behoorlijk opgelucht."

Volgens de organisator schieten de teams er eigenlijk helemaal niets mee op. "Het is waar dat de coureurs donderdag niet meer in de paddock zijn. Maar de monteurs zullen nog steeds aan de bolides moeten werken. Er zal dus niet veel veranderen. Daarom zijn er niet zoveel veranderingen."

@PKracing; beetje domme opmerking hé? Of ben je er niet van op de hoogte dat Canada op de huidige voorwaarden een contract heeft voor de F1 GP tot en met 2024? Lijkt me vrij logisch dat als je als organisatie de opzet wilt wijzigen je toch wel de instemming nodig hebt van alle partijen.

  @PKracing; beetje domme opmerking hé? Of ben je er niet van op de hoogte dat Canada op de huidige voorwaarden een contract heeft voor de F1 GP tot en met 2024? Lijkt me vrij logisch dat als je als organisatie de opzet wilt wijzigen je toch wel de instemming nodig hebt van alle partijen.

  Ik vind Canada juist 1 van de leukste op de kalender. Er gebeurd meestal wel wat. Dit jaar was niet echt bijzonder behalve dan dat Vettel gras ging maaien maar over het algemeen staat de wedstrijd vol van spektakel, soms een beetje gehoplen door het weer.

Ik zeur zelden over de items die geschreven worden, maar dit artikel leest echt niet lekker weg.

Is er iemand die de teksten naleest of hebben jullie iemand die de vertalingen doet? Pure interesse, wellicht kan de community helpen de kwaliteit. van de vertalingen te verbeteren.
