Video: Lando Norris in tranen na Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: "Bedankt voor alles"

Lando Norris moet het volgend jaar zonder zijn engineer Andrew Jarvis doen. Na de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi sprak de Brit zeer geëmotioneerd tegen zijn engineer, die na dit seizoen vertrekt bij McLaren.

De Brit maakte dit seizoen zijn debuut in de koningsklasse naast Carlos Sainz. McLaren had het de afgelopen jaren lastig, maar met twee jonge coureurs heeft het team uit Woking zich weten te herpakken. Jarvis heeft echter besloten om het team te verlaten na dit seizoen en Norris bedankte hem na de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi voor al zijn werk. Tijdens het bedank-bericht hield de McLaren-coureur het niet droog.

      Wat heeft dat met dit artikel te maken? Dat je een stijve krijgt bij elke noot waar Max in voorkomt, dat lijkt me dan wel weer een probleem op de lange duur.

      Gelukkig heeft Lando wel zelfspot, en een zeer goed gevoel voor humor. Dat hij ook een redelijk potje kan sturen is slechts bijzaak.

    Wat is Mclaren er dit jaar op vooruit gegaan met Norris. Vorig jaar met Alonso en Stoffel leek het wel een begrafenis onderneming, niet alleen qua snelheid maar vooral qua lol.

      Helemaal eens Joep, Norris kwam op “slechts” 2 minuten achterstand op Lewis over de streep, dus McLaren heeft het gat met de top dit seizoen behoorlijk verkleind.........

      Ff serieus, zet toch maar weer Alonso in de McLaren, Carlos en Norris zijn te zwak. Wie weet dat Norris volgend seizoen nog door kan groeien, maar Carlos is niet beter dan Nico. De wagen van McLaren heeft inderdaad een flinke stap gemaakt en daar plukken hun coureurs af en toe de vruchten van, maar met Alonso zouden ze inderdaad af en toe de aansluiting kunnen vinden, niet met deze middelmatige coureurs.

      Ga toch weg man. ALONSO Is gewoon over de datum. Dit duo is vee beter en weet het team te motiveren. Alonso kan dat totaal niet.

      Als McLaren fan vind ik Lando ook echt een McLaren coureur. Een bescheiden beleefde jongeling. Sowieso een beter jaar voor McLaren en een goed duo... Vooral Sainz heeft P6 echt knap op zn borst geschreven.
