Mercedes betaalt recordbedrag aan inschrijfgeld in 2020

Mercedes zal komend seizoen het hoogste bedrag aan inschrijfgeld ooit betalen in de Formule 1. Het kampioensteam moet bijna 5,5 miljoen dollar betalen om mee te mogen doen in 2020.

De Formule 1-teams moeten ieder jaar een bedrag aan inschrijfgeld betalen aan de internationale autosportfederatie FIA. Dit cijfer bestaat uit een basisbedrag dat voor ieder team hetzelfde is, plus een bedrag per gescoord punt in het voorgaande seizoen. De basis voor 2020 is voor ieder team 556.509 dollar, terwijl bedrag per punt voor alle teams 5.563 dollar is, behalve voor de constructeurskampioenschap. Zij betalen 6.677 dollar per punt.

Mercedes betaalt als constructeurskampioen van 2019, een seizoen waarin ze 736 punten scoorden, 5.490.812 dollar aan inschrijfgeld voor 2020. Dat is een stijging van ruim 6 ton ten opzichte van afgelopen seizoen. Het bedrag is tevens ruim twee miljoen dollar hoger dan bij het team met het een-na-hoogste bedrag aan inschrijfgeld: Ferrari betaalt iets meer dan 3,3 miljoen dollar.

Red Bull Racing is daarnaast het enige team dat meer dan 2 miljoen dollar aan inschrijfgeld moet betalen met 2,8 miljoen. De overige teams zitten allen onder de anderhalf miljoen dollar, terwijl er liefst vier teams zijn die nog geen miljoen moeten betalen aan de FIA. Williams is, net als in het constructeurskampioenschap, hekkensluiter met een bedrag van 562.072 dollar.

  Nee want aan de andere kant krijg je weer veel en veel minder prijzengeld. Wat dat betreft is dat inschrijfgeld sowieso been beetje vreemd, verreken het dan meteen met het prijzengeld
