Max Verstappen maandag te gast bij Ziggo Sport-talkshow Peptalk

Het zeventigste seizoen van de Formule 1 is inmiddels een week afgelopen en dat is voor Ziggo Sport het moment om bij te praten met Max Verstappen. De coureur van Red Bull Racing is maandag te gast in Peptalk.

De talkshow Peptalk heeft maandag haar laatste uitzending van het jaar 2019 en pakt daarom uit met een goed gevulde tafel. Presentator Jack van Gelder en sidekick Frank Evenblij verwelkomen dus onder andere Verstappen aan tafel. In andere uitzendingen speelde de Nederlandse coureur regelmatig een rol door middel van Skype-gesprekken, maar na afloop van het seizoen heeft hij ook tijd om echt langs te gaan bij de talkshow.

Verstappen heeft in 2019 zijn beste jaar in de Formule 1 gedraaid. Namens Red Bull Racing wist hij voor het eerst een pole position te pakken (wat uiteindelijk twee keer lukte), won hij drie races en stond in totaal negen keer op het podium. Deze resultaten waren voldoende voor een derde positie in de eindstand van het kampioenschap, achter de Mercedes-coureurs maar voor beide rijders van Ferrari.

Verstappen is niet de enige topatleet die maandag te gast is in Peptalk. Tennisster Kiki Bertens, die in 2019 met de vierde plek haar hoogste ranking ooit behaalde op de WTA Tour, zal naast Verstappen aan tafel komen te zitten. De derde gast is Suzanne Schulting, de shorttrackster die eerder in 2019 wereldkampioene werd op de 1000 meter en het allround-klassement.

Wordt hier consequent op Ziggo gebasht. Maar degene die dat doen slaan klaarblijkelijk geen uitzending over. Je weet hoe die uitzendingen in elkaar zitten, dus je hoeft niet te kijken. Het commentaar op die uitzendingen is vaak net zo inhoudsloos als de vermeende uitzendingen. Ondanks de egotripperij van enkele presentatoren ben ik blij dat Ziggo het uitzend.
