Mercedes presenteert nieuwe bolide op Valentijnsdag

Er zijn al vijf teams die hun presentatiedatum van hun 2020-bolide bekend hebben gemaakt. In het geval van Mercedes gebeurt dit op 14 februari op Silverstone, dezelfde dag als Alpha Tauri. Beide teams hebben dus Valentijnsdag gekozen als presentatiedatum.

Mercedes heeft sinds 2014 op rij zes wereldtitels bij de coureurs en constructeurs gewonnen, en het doel in 2020 is om weer een nieuwe goede auto te vertonen die de wereldtitel kan winnen. Mercedes vertelde eerder al goed op weg te zijn en een hele goede motor te hebben gebouwd.

Valtteri Bottas en Lewis Hamilton hebben in de afgelopen drie seizoenen hun waarde bewezen voor het in Groot-Brittannië gevestigde Duitse fabrieksteam en ook in 2020 zullen zij Mercedes weer naar successen moeten leiden. Mercedes zal wel moeten oppassen, want Red Bull Racing en Ferrari hebben ook niet stilgezeten en azen ook op de wereldtitel.
