Red Bull zet PayVoo op auto en racepakken in plaats van verdacht gekoppeld bedrijf FuturoCoin

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing heeft een nieuwe sponsor binnengehaald. Het Britse team gaat in zee met het Litouwse FinTech-bedrijf PayVoo voor het Formule 1-seizoen van 2020.

PayVoo is een financiële tool, uitgevonden en ontworpen om verschillende soorten valuta’s via bankoverschrijving, mobiel of andere betaalmethoden te beheren. Het Nederlandse Ideal is nog niet toegevoegd.

Het Litouwse bedrijf is gekoppeld aan de vorige Red Bull Racing-sponsor FuturoCoin, bedacht door Roman Ziemian en Stephan Morgenstern, die vorig jaar een tweejarig contract met het Oostenrijkse team hadden getekend.

Het verliep niet zoals gehoopt, want in de afgelopen maanden raakte de groep betrokken bij een schandaal met betrekking tot frauduleuze inkoop en acquisitie van Gambiaanse diplomatieke paspoorten naast beschuldigingen van zwendel onder de FutureNet-bedrijvengroep. Het bedrijf ondervond zo de gevolgen van een aangetaste reputatie, maar heeft nu een andere manier gevonden om te adverteren.

Red Bull Racing toonde de sponsor al tijdens het opnemen van de promotievideo voor de Grand Prix van Nederland, maar hier was de advertentie niet duidelijk zichtbaar. De RB7-showcars waren voorzien van PayVoo-branding op de bovenkant van de sidepod en op de hoofdsteun. De deal is een voortzetting van de sponsordeal met FuturoCoin, daarom is het logo van PayVoo ook op de racepakken te zien. Tijdens de onthulling van de nieuwe auto was het merk ook zichtbaar en dus lijkt het duidelijk dat de Futurocoin-deal voort is gezet met PayVoo.

FuturoCoin werd het eerste online cryptowisselkantoor die een door Red Bull gesteund team sponsorde, we zagen het al eerder bij Williams in 2018.

@wachtwoord uhm je weet dat de F1 in meerdere "discutabele" landen verreden wordt? Iets met mensenrechten, corruptie etc. etc.

Nu ga ik dit niet goedpraten maar in het grote F1 plaatje is dit een olifant van een mug maken.

Boeiende berichtgeving. Zeg ik met enig sarcasme.
Wat maakt het uit wat voor kleine sponsor er op de Red Bull staat? En waarom die er staat? Beter komt er een nieuwsbericht waarom een titelsponsor als SportPesa verdwenen is van de Force Canada.

  De reden achter dit artikel is wel duidelijk. Alles wat enigszins met Verstappen te maken heeft levert veel meer kliks op. Daarom werd het artikel over eerste fire-up van Alpha Tauri ook geplaatst met de titel 'De nieuwe motor van Verstappen klinkt lekkâh!'.
