Japan merkt gevolgen aardbeving ook bij kaartverkoop Grand Prix

Het circuit van Suzuka, gastheer van de Japanse Grand Prix, is niet letterlijk getroffen door de zware aardbeving en de tsunami van 11 maart jongstleden. De organisatie van de race merkt de gevolgen van de natuurramp echter wel bij de kaartverkoop.

Bernie Ecclestone houdt rekening met lagere toeschouwersaantallen voor de Grand Prix van Japan van dit jaar. Het probleem is niet schade aan het circuit van Suzuka, de commerciële impact voortkomend uit het feit dat mensen minder geld hebben om tickets te kopen is wel voelbaar, zegt hij in de Daily Mail.
