F1 TV komt mensen met een gekocht abonnement tegemoet

F1 TV is een platform voor racefans, waar historische races kunnen worden teruggekeken, maar vooral ook live de races van het lopende seizoen bekeken kunnen worden. Abonnees kunnen kiezen uit verschillende pakketen, van het basispakket waarmee alleen live races bekeken kunnen worden tot Pro-abonnement, waarbij allerlei extra functionaliteiten beschikbaar zijn tijdens de live races, maar dus ook de historische race on demand gestreamd kunnen worden. Door de ontwikkelingen rondom de uitbraak en verspreiding van het coronavirus en de daaropvolgende afgelasting van verschillende race heeft de FOM besloten de abonnees tegemoet te komen.

De officiële streamingdienst van de Formule 1 is sinds vorig seizoen beschikbaar in Nederland, na een jaar waarin de service als pilot slecht in enkele landen werd uitgerold. Het programma werkte aan het begin van vorig seizoen ook nog niet goed. Er waren vaak storingen, daardoor besloot de dienst mensen geld terug te geven. Nu kunnen de abonnees door de afgelastingen wederom een tegemoetkoming verwachten.

Het statement hieromtrent van de FOM luidt als volgt:

Wie geen pakket heeft van Ziggo moet ongeveer 15 euro per maand betalen voor Totaal, de televisiezender waar de Formule 1 wordt uitgezonden. F1 TV Pro kost in Nederland 7,99 euro per maand en 64,99 euro per jaar (3,10 per race). Ook is er een minder uitgebreid pakket beschikbaar voor 2,99 euro per maand of 26,99 euro per jaar.

Ik heb die mail ook ontvangen, ondanks dat ik bij mijn weten geen abonnement daarop had. Kon me wel herinneren daar (afgelopen jaar?) gratis op ingeschreven te hebben, dus ik heb even geckeckt of ik onbedoeld toch een abo heb. Op f1.com bleek van wel: actieve account, subscription amount 0.00, next payment date 26/03/2020

Ik heb het abbo gekocht bij F1. Niet bij Apple. Ik ga er dus vanuit dat ik gewoon mijn refund ga krijgen.

Netjes, ik had gebruik gemaakt van de actie om pro tr krijgen voor 40 euro ofzo voor het hele jaar.

Vorig jaar ook drie keer 5 euro teruggekregen vanwege problemen met de dienst. (Via website was er toen niks aan de hand)

  Dat is dan erg vreemd en zou wel eens niet aan tvpro kunnen liggen als jullie niks zien.
  Want ik heb en bekijk het al vanaf dat dit mogelijk was in Nederland via beide.
  Ik kijk eigenlijk dagelijks wel zowel via de app (android op telefoon en 2 tablets) of via de web browser op de pc.
  Hier werkt gewoon alles vanaf het begin vorig jaar op toen wat storingen na tot op heden.
  Met alles bedoel ik ook alles wat er te kijken is(dus geen race van dit jaar uiteraard).
  Misschien dus toch eerst de boel even nakijken.
  Refund ga je niet krijgen, tenzij je tvpro los hebt en per maand betaald.
  Dan kan je ze een mail schrijven en om een (al dan niet gedeeltelijke) terugbetaling vragen, dat lukte vorig jaar althans enkele.
  Maar omdat het bij andere ook gewoon werkt (en er dus blijkbaar geen fout bij hun zit) geef ik je weinig kans.
