Goodwood Festival of Speed 2020 ook uitgesteld

Het Goodwood Festival of Speed 2020 is toegevoegd aan de lange lijst autosportevenementen die als gevolg van het coronavirus op zoek moeten naar een nieuwe datum. Het evenement, opgebouwd rondom de beroemde heuvelklim van Goodwood, stond gepland voor 9 tot en met 12 juli.

De organisatie vindt het onverantwoord om in het licht van alle maatregelen tegen het coronavirus een evenement te houden, ook al is het pas over dik drie maanden zover. Het roept gelijk vragen op of de Britse Grand Prix op Silverstone wel gewoon door kan gaan. De Formule 1-race in Groot-Brittannië staat voor 19 juli op het programma.

Goodwood moet nog een nieuwe datum prikken voor het Festival of Speed. In een verklaring staat: "Na alles wat er de afgelopen weken is gebeurd en aan de hand van het advies dat we van de Britse overheid hebben gekregen hebben we besloten om het Festival of Speed uit te stellen tot later dit jaar."

"Ons evenement heeft altijd garant gestaan voor een unieke belevenis en om dat te kunnen bieden moeten we de veiligheid en gezondheid van bezoekers, coureurs, teamleden, vrijwilligers en personeel kunnen waarborgen. We dienen nu een zorgvuldige afweging te maken voor een nieuwe datum. Waarschijnlijk verhuist het Festival of Speed naar het einde van de zomer of begin van de herfst, maar de ervaring zal er niet minder om zijn."

  boodschappen,ziekenhuis bezoek,en paar keer per jaar een uitvaart bezoeken,verder geen idee.

  Uitjes, ach zolang de boot in het water ligt hebben we uitjes zat, waterskiën met de kinderen en ga maar door. Niet zo somber allemaal er is zat te doen,
