Richard Verschoor zamelt geld in voor gezondheidsdienst WHO

Formule 3-coureur Richard Verschoor heeft net als zijn collega-rijders momenteel niets om handen. De autosport ligt net als de rest van de samenleving op zijn gat, al gloren er lichtpuntjes aan de horizon. De lockdown wordt langzaam maar zeker versoepeld en ook diverse raceklasses kijken naar de mogelijkheden om hun seizoen op gang te brengen.

De Amerikaanse IndyCar heeft de knoop al doorgehakt; zij beginnen op 6 juni met een race op de Texas Motor Speedway. Voor de klasse waar Verschoor in actief is, is het nog even afwachten. De Formule 3 is in grote mate afhankelijk van de Formule 1, de opstapklasse staat bij Europese Grands Prix namelijk vaak in het voorprogramma van de koningsklasse van de autosport.

Verschoor zit echter niet stil. De jonge Nederlander doet veel aan simracen en daarnaast probeert hij zich ook een beetje in te zetten voor de mensheid. Samen met twee vrienden heeft hij een initiatief opgestart; het verkopen van polsbandjes met de teksten 'Stop corona' en 'Stronger Together'.

Een exemplaar kost €3,99, waarvan 82 procent (€3,27) naar het goede doel gaat. De rest van de opbrengsten gaat naar het dekken van de gemaakte kosten. Verschoor en zijn vrienden hebben wereldgezondheidsdienst WHO uitgekozen als het goede doel om te helpen bij de bestrijding van het coronavirus. Het bestellen van een polsbandje kan hier.

De grootste sponsor is Bill Gates op zich goed, maar hij bouwt ook vele fabrieken om straks het vaccin te maken.
Voor de mensen die dachten dat hij dat geld zomaar weggaf.

  Eerst een probleem creeeren en daarna de oplossing leveren. Waarbij de oplossing weer nieuwe problemen oplevert waarvoor je dan weer nieuwe oplossingen kunt maken. Klinkt als een verdienmodel. Overheden hebben wurgcontracten getekend dus die vaccins gaan er komen. Net als in 2009.
