Renault trekt zich niet terug uit Formule 1 ondanks zware financiële problemen

Dat Renault in de proberen zit, is wel duidelijk. Ondanks alles wil de Franse autofabrikant maar al te graag actief blijven in de koningsklasse van de autosport. Daarom heeft het bedrijf besloten om zich niet terug te trekken uit de Formule 1. 

Het team was in 2005 en 2006 erg succesvol, tegenwoordig heeft het team moeite om de top drie teams bij te houden. Ondanks de tegenslagen, die het team heeft opgelopen de afgelopen seizoenen, blijft Renault voorlopig in de Formule 1.

De fabrikant van auto’s heeft ernstige financiële problemen, kondigde interim-CEO Clotilde Delbos vrijdag aan. Het bedrijf zal daarom 2 miljard euro besparen. Dit gaan ze doen door 15.000 banen te schrappen.

Het Formule 1-team van Enstone en Viry werkt echter door. "We hebben in het openbaar gezegd en bevestigen dat we ons blijven inzetten voor de Formule 1", zei Delbos.

Waarschijnlijk is het budgetplafond een doorslaggevende factor geweest. "De aankondiging van nieuwe regelgeving inzake kostenbeperking is goed voor ons, dus zijn we gebleven."

      Eens Ouwe, het zou een grote naam zijn die dan weg had gevallen. En wellicht een eerste domino steen dat had gevallen...

      Ik vraag mij echter wel af hoe dit voor de gemiddelde Fransman te behappen is, wanneer toekomstig succes uitblijft en de belastingbetaler toch een aardige duit in het zakje doet/blijft doen.

      Helemaal mee eens Snelrondje. Daarom denk ik dat ze vroeg of laat toch de stekker eruit zullen trekken.

      Overdag is het een man en runt hij een Formule 1 team onder de naam Cyril Abiteboul en snachts word het een zij en is het Christine le Duc .

      Ach , zolang Renault voor weinig kosten de maximale exposure en reclame krijgt zal Abiteboul de steun van de Raad van Bestuur blijven behouden en mogen blijven zitten .

      Is het mijn favoriete teambaas ? Neen

      Ik persoonlijk vind het een vreemde eend in de bijt die zichzelf heel snel aangevallen voelt en het team niet naar grotere hoogten stuwt zoals een Brawn of Jordan en mindere mate Force India konden doen met een gemiddeld tot matig budget .

      Ook vind ik dat hij teveel dingen heeft beloofd en geroepen door de jaren heen en daar helemaal niks van heeft kunnen waarmaken .
      En ja Marko heeft een nog grotere bakkus , maar daarbij kwam t meestal wel uit wat hij roept .

    Dat zullen die 15000 ontslagen werknemers super tof vinden dan kunnen ze tenminste nog een beetje genieten van Renault.

    Dit is alleen omdat ze bezig zijn met de verkoop. Dat is beter uit te leggen dan dat je al die miljoenen nu gewoon verbrand en alles laat ploffen. Denk dat ze wel doorgaan maar dan als sponsor. Het team wordt verkocht en gaan dan met fabrieksmotoren rijden. Zo blijft Renault voor een veel lagere prijs in de F1 en zijn alle investeringen beter uitte leggen

    Nog even wachten tot het heel slecht gaat met Renault dan zeg ik kom er maar weer in Victor Muller met 1 van je vrienden., dan hebben we ieder geval de komende 10 jaar nog vele artikelen.
