Ferrari test dinsdag in Mugello

Charles Leclerc en Sebastian Vettel zullen op tijd klaar zijn voor de start van het nieuwe Formule 1-seizoen door dinsdag in Ferrari te testen op het circuit van Mugello in Italië. De testsessie dient als training voor de twee Ferrari-coureurs om weer het goede gevoel te krijgen voor de Grand Prix van Oostenrijk van start gaat op 5 juli.

Er zou ook een ander waardevol doel aan de testsessie kunnen zijn, aangezien Mugello een grote kans maakt om toegevoegd te worden aan de F1-kalender. Deze test geeft het Ferrari-duo de kans om hun bekendheid met het circuit ten noordoosten van Florence te vergroten.

Mugello vervangt Fiorano

De oorspronkelijke locatie voor de test met de wagen uit 2018 was Fiorano, maar volgens Autosport werd deze gedeeltelijk verwisseld omdat de hoogteverschillen en kenmerken van Mugello meer gelijk liggen met de Red Bull Ring.

Dit zal niet alleen helpen om de coureurs weer op snelheid te krijgen, maar ook om hen te helpen zich opnieuw aan te passen aan de fysieke eisen van de Formule 1 op een hogesnelheidsbaan in tegenstelling tot de krappe bochten van Fiorano.

Racing Point test 2020-wagen

Racing Point was het enige team dat een auto uit 2020 testte voorafgaand aan de Oostenrijkse Grand Prix, die eerder deze week op Silverstone reed op een toegestane filmdag. Mercedes en Renault hebben beide machines van 2018 gebruikt voor hun tests.

  Zekers, en Portimao is ook vet, met niet één maar 2 rechte stukken waar ze kunnen inhalen. Maar er gaat niets boven het rechte takke end van Mugello, daar gaan ze denk ik zeker 350 kmh halen net zoals de Moto GP boys daar al jaren doen ;)
