Formule 1-coureurs bundelen krachten om Richards te helpen

De rijders uit de Formule 1 hebben een actie op touw gezet om de V8 Supercar-coureur Jason Richards te helpen in zijn gevecht tegen kanker. Red Bull Racing-coureur Mark Webber heeft een goede band met de Nieuw-Zeelander en regelde een wishbone van zijn werkgever.

Daarop hebben alle Formule 1-rijders hun handtekening gezet en de wishbone wordt geveild via www.bid4jase.com, dat is opgestart door V8 Supercars. De veiling sluit op 27 juni en alle opbrengsten gaan direct naar Richards om zijn behandeling te bekostigen.

Webber: Jason is een van de grote talenten uit de regio en ik heb zijn progressie nauwlettend in de gaten gehouden sinds de diagnose van kanker in november vorig jaar. Hij heeft een zeldzame en agressieve vorm van kanker en wij wilden wat doen om hem en zijn familie in deze moeilijke tijd te steunen.
