Teams lanceren met 'You Are Connected' nieuw initiatief voor Japan

De Formule 1-teams hebben een elektronisch boek met bijdragen van alle coureurs en teambazen opgezet. Fans hebben de mogelijkheid om de applicatie via iTunes voor 0,79 euro aan te schaffen en alle opbrengsten gaan naar het Rode Kruis in Japan. Het boek bevat foto's van alle coureurs en teambazen in combinatie met boodschappen voor de getroffenen van de aardbeving en tsunami in Japan.

Sauber-coureur Kamui Kobayashi nam het initiatief voor deze actie. Hoewel de ramp de headlines domineerde in de dagen direct na de aardbeving en tsunami, sindsdien heeft ander nieuws het weer overgenomen. Echter, de destructie van het land is zo massaal dat het jaren gaat duren om de verliezen en de schade te herstellen. De mensen in Japan hebben dus steun voor de lange termijn nodig. Ik wil mijn collega's bedanken voor hun bijdrages en ik hoop dat het boek zo goed mogelijk verkoopt.
