Amerikaanse bank Raine gelinkt aan Formule 1-overname

De Amerikaanse bank Raine Group LLC hoort bij het consortium van News Corporation en Exor dat interesse heeft in de commerciële rechten van de Formule 1, zo meldt Sky News. Verslaggever Mark Kleinman bericht dat Raine contact heeft gezocht met NewsCorp over een mogelijke investering.

De Financial Times rapporteerde onlangs dat Raine 500 miljoen dollar te besteden heeft. De Amerikaanse bank is reeds enigszins verbonden met de Formule 1. Jeff Sine, oprichter en directeur van Raine, was voorheen werkzaam bij huidige Formule 1-sponsor UBS. En Mubadala, de investeringsmaatschappij uit Abu Dhabi die banden heeft met Ferrari, heeft geld in Raine zitten.
