Meerdere F1-teams maken zich zorgen over de aanstaande terugkeer van toeschouwers naar Formule 1-races. De Formule 1 kwam pas weer op gang terwijl het wereldwijde coronavirus nog in volle gang is. De enige manier om het F1-seizoen van 2020 te starten was zonder fans te racen, en zo geschiedde.

De organisatoren van de Russische Grand Prix verkoopt momenteel ongeveer 30.000 tickets voor de race in Sotsji, terwijl Portimao in Portugal plannen maakt voor 50.000 toeschouwers. De F1-teams zijn daar niet gerust op, zo meldt Bild am Sonntag: "Volgens onze informatie maken verschillende teams zich hier zorgen over en vrezen ze voor de gezondheid van hun teamleden."

Portugal kan 50.000 kaarten verantwoorden

Paulo Pinheiro, de circuitbaas van Portimao, vertelde Speed Week dat het cijfer van 50.000 ongeveer de helft van de capaciteit vertegenwoordigt. "Het gaat erom dat we ons systeem niet overbelasten. Bij 50.000 is de druk aanzienlijk lager."

Pinheiro houdt vol dat, hoewel er veel toeschouwers aanwezig zullen zijn, dit geen terugkeer naar normaal betekent voor de Formule 1. "Alleen omdat toeschouwers zullen worden toegelaten, betekent niet dat alles zal worden toegestaan. Als je een kaartje koopt, krijg je het naar je huis gestuurd samen met tal van regels waarmee je akkoord moet gaan."

Regels om F1-race te bezoeken

Tot de regels behoren beperkingen voor waar huurauto's kunnen worden gehuurd, specifieke routes naar de locatie, gecontroleerde verplaatsingen rond het circuit en het dragen van een mondmasker.

"Het masker mag alleen worden verwijderd om te eten en te drinken en als je naar het toilet moet, dan kan dat alleen in overleg met de veiligheidsmensen op het circuit. Het zal niet zoals normaal zijn", zei Pinheiro.

Extra politie inzet

Hij zei ook dat 5.000 extra politieagenten in de nabijgelegen regio's zullen zijn om de toeschouwers te controleren.

"We gaan een groot evenement houden, maar iedereen moet de regels volgen. Wij zijn het proefkonijn voor alle toekomstige grote evenementen, dus de fans moeten zich correct gedragen."

Paar 100 man kan zich al niet aan de regels houden laat staan 50k mensen met een biertje op,geeft niet maar je weet dat je dan makkelijker wordt en verspreiden gaat weer in volle gang.

  Misschien dat je onder "IndyCar nieuws iets vindt?
  (Al zag ik daar gisteravond dat het laatste nieuws daar van 16 Augustus kwam)

  Luister, de enige die iets van Indy weet is Tom. Tom is alleen part timer en heeft de afgelopen weken al zijn uren verbruikt met zijn artikelen. Vanaf 1 september is er weer budget voor de Tom en de Indy cars.

  Tot op heden ook op de indy pagina nog steeds niks.
  
  Wel vreemd hoor. Een van de grootste races ter wereld en geen woord er over. Je kan het zelfs F1 gerelateerd noemen aangezien oud F1 coureur Rossi, Renault coureur Alonso, en oud F1 coureur Sato notabene de race gewonnen heeft

Moeten die fans betalen voor een kaartje, betalen om te functioneren als proefkonijn? Dat is de wereld op zijn kop. "Hoe was de F1 in Portugal?" "Tja, mixed feelings, Max gewonnen maar ik heb wel Corona. Kwam ik te laat achter dus eerst nog familie en vrienden besmet".

Wie een ticket boekt voor Russische Grand Prix, kan beter de thee ronde maar beter overslaan, die wordt nogal pittig met een bijsmaak geserveerd vernam ik de laatste dagen.
