Mark Blundell debuteert in Spanje als adviseur van de stewards

Mark Blundell is door de internationale autosportbond FIA opgeroepen om het vaste team van drie stewards bij te staan bij de Spaanse Grand Prix in Barcelona. De 45-jarige Brit maakt zijn debuut in de rol van assistent voor de stewards.

Blundell reed zelf van 1991 tot en met 1995 in de Formule 1. Hij startte in totaal in 61 Grands Prix voor teams als McLaren, Tyrrell, Ligier en Brabham en scoorde daarin 32 punten. Blundell schreef in 1992 de 24 uur van Le Mans op zijn naam en hij zegevierde ook drie maal in de Champ Car.
