Lotus Renault GP steunt vrede met 'Peace One Day' op de R31

Op de auto's van Lotus Renault GP prijkt vanaf de Spaanse Grand Prix van komend weekend de tekst 'Peace One Day' op de voorvleugel. De Britse renstal steunt op die manier de strijd die Jeremy Gilley vanaf 1999, en sinds twee jaar later met de hulp van de Verenigde Naties, voert voor minder geweld en meer vrede.

Renault-teambaas Eric Boullier: Peace One Day is een initiatief waar we allemaal naar streven en het is iets dat we met alle plezier steunen de rest van dit jaar. Door met het logo op onze auto's te rijden kunnen we de kracht van de Formule 1 gebruiken om meer mensen bekend te maken met de Dag van de Vrede en om de creatie van een meer verenigde maatschappij aan te moedigen.

Peace One Day-oprichter Jeremy Gilley: We zijn heel trots dat ons logo dit jaar op de wagens van Lotus Renault GP staat. Bij Peace One Day roepen we op tot en werken we toe naar een dag van totaal geen geweld en een globaal staakt-het-vuren op de Dag van de Vrede, 21 september 2012. Om dit proces tot een succes te maken hebben we bekendheid nodig en Lotus Renault GP als partner is een aardige stap om de boodschap van de Dag van de Vrede wereldwijd te verspreiden.
