Nurburgring krijgt toestemming voor 20.000 toeschouwers

De organisatie van de Eifel Grand Prix hebben toestemming gekregen om 20.000 fans te verwelkomen op de Nürburgring voor de race die volgende maand is toegevoegd aan de F1-kalender van 2020. De race die op 11 oktober wordt gereden, heeft groen licht gekregen van de lokale autoriteiten om de toeschouwers tegemoet te komen met behulp van strenge veiligheidsmaatregelen, waaronder mondmaskers, sociale afstand en contactloze kaartverkoop.

De kaartverkoop voor elke aangewezen tribune zal echter stapsgewijs worden vrijgegeven, en het proces wordt de komende drie weken voltooid als er geen piek is van coronabesmettingen in Duitsland. Directeur Mirco Markfort zegt hierover: "Het is belangrijk voor ons om in deze eerste fase tickets aan te bieden in verschillende prijscategorieën. In tijden van corona, met de enorme personele en planningsinspanning die dat met zich meebrengt, is natuurlijk alles een kwestie van kosten."

"Maar het is ook een kwestie van fans de kans geven om zich tickets te kunnen veroorloven en de race veilig te beleven."

De tribunes worden opgedeeld in afzonderlijke secties en blokken van vier zitplaatsen, terwijl elke tribune ook een specifieke parkeerplaats heeft om te voorkomen dat fans die in verschillende gebieden zitten met elkaar vermengen.

Langzaam maar zeker mogen fans terugkeren naar de F1-tribunes, waarbij Sochi volgende week ook een beperkte opkomst zal genieten, terwijl de nieuwe locatie Portimão en Turkije ook een beperkt aantal toeschouwers zullen verwelkomen.

Is het dan zo moeilijk voor ons mensen om een keer een jaar pas op de plaats te maken? Ik wil er ook graag naartoe, maar ik doe het juist niet om zo te voorkomen dat ik het virus daar wellicht oploop en mee naar huis neem. Tuurlijk, je kunt hier in de supermarkt net zo goed besmet raken, dat risico is er altijd, maar waarom nog extra risico nemen?

Het is allemaal best wel simpel. Wanneer iedereen maatregelen zou nemen, dus afstand houden, drukke plaatsen vermijden, zoveel mogelijk vanuit huis werken, dan druk je het virus de kop in. Dat hebben we ook gezien na april. Maar toen begonnen mensen te klagen, beperking van vrijheid en dat soort onzin. We moesten allemaal zo nodig op vakantie, want oh we hebben het allemaal zo moeilijk gehad in maart en april. We zijn nu terug bij af en nog erger als je het mij vraagt. Dan kunnen we lekker allemaal gaan schelden op het kabinet, maar we moeten ons ervan bewust zijn dat we feitelijk alles zelf in de hand hebben.

  Zolang je je aan de minimaal 1,5 meter afstand houd en evt een mondkapje draagt zie ik het probleem niet zo.
  
  Het grote probleem is dat mensen schijt hebben aan de regels en 1,5 meter afstand. Ik zie het overal. En zeg je er wat van word je enkel raar aangekeken alsof je gek bent of je krijgt een grote bek terug.

  Maar juist daarom. Ik verwacht ook niet dat er problemen op het circuit zullen zijn, maar juist onderweg naar het circuit toe bijvoorbeeld. Even tanken waar er geen afstand wordt gehouden, even naar een wegrestaurant waar het mis gaat, enzovoort. En dan kun je zelf wel alle maatregelen willen nemen, maar als anderen dat dan niet doen, dan ga je al.

  Je vergeet de allerbelangrijkste regel.
  Beperk je contact met anderen.
  Daar wringt het schoentje, veel mensen zien dat als vrijheidsbeperking.
  Ze hebben gelijk, maar alleen dat is de manier om besmetting in te perken.
  Zolang de meerderheid dat niet inziet blijf je aanmodderen.
