Tickets voor Grand Prix in Imola razendsnel uitverkocht

In november keert de Formule 1 terug naar Imola. Het beroemde circuit in San Marino heeft het voor elkaar weten te krijgen om op de aangepaste F1-kalender van 2020 te staan en mag daardoor eenmalig een Grand Prix organiseren. Het wordt een bijzonder weekend aangezien het geen 3 maar 2 dagen zal duren. Er wordt alleen gereden op de zaterdag en zondag.

Vanaf dit moment zullen de races weer gehouden worden met toeschouwers en de eerste 13.147 tickets waren ook meteen razendsnel uitverkocht voor de Grand Prix in Imola. Dat is goed nieuws, want de Formule 1 begint de 'coronacrisis' achter zich te laten en verwelkomt beperkte toeschouwers terug op de circuits.

"De cijfers voor de start van de voorverkoop zijn een spannend signaal", zegt Imola-promotor Uberto Selvatico Estense. "Het laat zien hoe de fans, gerustgesteld door het publieksmanagementsysteem dat al in Misano en Mugello is getest met zeer positieve veiligheidsresultaten, niet kunnen wachten om terug te keren naar de tribunes van Imola."

"Sociale afstanden en anti-covid-regels zullen uiteraard gerespecteerd moeten worden, maar het signaal is echt bemoedigend", voegde hij eraan toe.
