Dutch Grand Prix op 2 mei, zet je op aanwezig op het event!

Eigenlijk zouden we dit jaar al een race op Zandvoort hebben, maar naar de laatste race in 1985 toen Niki Lauda won, is er geen Formule 1-actie op het circuit geweest. Wel heeft Red Bull Racing er jaarlijkse demonstraties tijdens de Jumbo Racedagen, maar dit jaar zou er dan een race komen. Helaas kwam het Coronavirus overgewaaid en werd de race gecanceld.

Alle tickets waren al snel uitverkocht en een speciale dag voor de Jumbo-kaartjes was ingelast, om de bekende Jumbo Racedagen te vervangen. Alles kon zo de prullenbak in, want er werd niet meer geracet op Zandvoort dit seizoen. De organisatie besloot zelf de race te cancellen en later werd ook bekend waarom. Niemand wilde een event in die tijd, ook de overheid niet. Het kost enorm veel geld om de Formule 1 naar Nederland te halen, maar het onder controle krijgen van het virus was veel belangrijker.

De Formule 1 heeft een concept-kalender en die is gelekt. Het Spaanse SoyMotor heeft de kalender weten te bemachtigen en op haar nieuwssite gezet. Vanochtend kwam hij op GPToday.net te staan. Hierop kon je zien dat Bahrein de seizoensopener is in plaats van Australië, in Abu Dhabi sluiten we het seizoen af en in Nederland komt het Formule 1-circus op 2 mei.

Volgend seizoen gaat de organisatie het opnieuw proberen, op de eerste zondag in mei gaan de racelichten uit. Zet jezelf op aanwezig op het onderstaande event, zo mis je zeker niets!

De discipline van de gemiddelde Nederlander mbt de Covid-richtlijnen is ver te zoeken dus de kans is zeer wel aanwezig dat het virus in het voorjaar nog in volle kracht door het land raast. Ik weet het niet maar er zweven zoveel concept kalenders rond op internet en in het F1 cafe van afgelopen week waren ze er stellig van overtuigd dat de NL GP in septmber zou zijn. Zolang het niet definitief is en van de FIA komt is het gespeculeer.

  aan het begin van de zomer was het virus behoorlijk veel minder en in de meeste Europese landen zelfs bijna weg. Ik ben in juni/juli in Italie onderweg geweest en daar hadden we toen een totaal van 365 Coronagevallen in heel de Toscane en Umbria tesamen. In Lazio buiten Rome ook maar net over de 200 en in Campania 234. Tesamen hebben deze gebieden, net als Nederland 17 Miljoen inwoners. Moet je nu eens kijken hoeveel gevallen er nu sinds begin herfst weer zijn. Ik heb dus vanuit deze ervaring goede hoop dat in mei het virus alweer een heel stuk minder zal zijn. Bovendien zijn er tegen die tijd ook al zeker de eerste vaccins te verkrijgen. Dat komt denk ik wel goed met Zandvoort.

  Ps. Dat soort getallen kent men in het grootste deel van Europa omdat men de genezenen personen van het tottal aantal gevallen aftrekt. Helaas doet men dat in Nederland niet waardoor er een angstcultuur wordt gecreeerd die niet nodigis.

Volledige vaccinatie zal pas eind 2021 uitgerold zijn maar dan moet nog blijken of het voldoende afweer bied.
Ik zie het met een 100.000+ publiek niet gebeuren.
Als Heineken gewoon de poeplap trekt als hoofdsponsor gaat het gewoon door met alleen highclass supporters.
