Raceprogramma: Tijdschema's 26, 27, 28 en 29 mei

Er staat weer een mooi raceweekend op het programma. Komend weekend vind in Monaco de meest prestigieuze race van het Formule 1-seizoen plaats. Verder komen ook de GP2-coureurs in actie. Tevens wordt er ook in Amerika de meest prestigieuze race gereden van het continent: de Indianapolis 500.

Formule 1
Sebastian Vettel zal zijn dominantie van het seizoen graag willen doorzetten in Monaco. De jonge Duitser heeft namelijk nog nooit een Formule 1-race in het staatje gewonnen. De concurrentie is echter sterk: teamgenoot Mark Webber won vorig jaar de race en ook Lewis Hamilton heeft al goede prestaties geleverd in Monaco. Tevens is het stratencircuit in Monaco dé kans van het seizoen om een overwinning te scoren voor Ferrari.

Kwalificatie: zaterdag 28 mei, 14:00 - 15:00 uur
Race: zondag 29 mei, 14:00 uur
Let op: de eerste en tweede vrije training vinden op donderdag plaats

GP2 Series
Giedo van der Garde gaat als kampioenschapsleider het raceweekend van Monaco in. Vorig jaar wist de Nederlander een zesde en tweede plaats te scoren op het stratencircuit, ditmaal zal hij voor het hoogst haalbare gaan. Dat zal ook wel moeten, want de concurrentie, met name Sam Bird, volgt Van der Garde op minieme achterstand. Verder is er genoeg spectakel met jonge coureurs die strijden langs de muren in Monaco.

Kwalificatie: donderdag 26 mei, 16:15 - 16:45 uur
Race 1: vrijdag 27 mei, 11:15 uur
Race 2: zaterdag 28 mei, 16:10 uur

Indianapolis 500
[LEFT_IMG=14132][/LEFT_IMG]Hij staat weer op het programma: 100 jaar nadat de eerste race werd verreden strijden de coureurs zondag om de overwinning in de Indy 500. 200 ronden lang wordt er geracet op de 'Brickyard'. Alex Tagliani pakte verrassend de pole position en bleef grote namen als Scott Dixon (tweede), Will Power (vijfde) en Dario Franchitti (negende) voor. Voor Nederland zal er wederom niks te juichen zijn, want Ho-Pin Tung heeft na een crash moeten afzeggen. Zijn team heeft geen bolide meer over. De Belg Bertrand Baguette start de race knap als veertiende.

F1, Indy 500 en de Cocal Cola 600. Dit wordt het beste raceweekend van het jaar (behalve als ze alle 3 zuigen).

  Die 3e kijk/ken ik dan net, maar ik kijk daarnaast ook de Formule Renault 3.5 (klasgenoot aanmoedigen :P) en zaterdagavond de Champions League finale tussen Man Utd en Barcelona. Wordt een heerlijk weekend. :D

  Idd Champions Leauge kijk ik ook naar uit. En Zondag nog kijken of mijn club Europa ingaat (ADO). Dus het word een mooi sportweekend.
