Max Verstappen wisselt versnellingsbak voor de zaterdag in Abu Dhabi

De monteurs van Red Bull Racing hebben een nieuwe versnellingsbak in de bolide van Max Verstappen gemonteerd. Hij zal geen straf ontvangen voor de wissel.

Het is de laatste race van het seizoen en Max Verstappen had nog een versnellingsbak over en gebruikt deze. De Nederlander zal er vanaf morgen mee in actie komen. Hij is niet de enigste coureur die de bak verwisselt. Naast Verstappen wisselen ook Carlos Sainz van McLaren, Alexander Albon van Red Bull Racing, Daniil Kvyat van AlphaTauri en Nicholas Latifi van Williams de versnellingsbak. Max Verstappen mocht het sowieso straffeloos doen, want hij finishte de afgelopen Grand Prix niet.

De FIA heeft nog iets bekend gemaakt. Bij bocht 21 worden de tracklimits nu beter in de gaten gehouden. Bij drie keer het overtreden van de limieten, komen de stewards in actie.
