Lewis Hamilton wist ook in het Formule 1-seizoen van 2020 weer bovenaan te eindigen in het kampioenschap. Daarmee heeft de Brit nu zeven wereldtitels - evenveel als de legendarische Michael Schumacher.

Echter, elke succesvolle atleet moest een keer ergens beginnen. Zo moest ook Lewis Hamilton beginnen in de karts, en moest hij zijn uiterste best doen om op te vallen om zodoende sponsorgeld binnen te halen. Eigen geld had de familie van Hamilton niet; zijn vader had destijds vier baantjes om zijn zoontje te kunnen laten meedoen aan kart-kampioenschappen.

Hieronder is te zien hoe een jonge Lewis Hamilton droomt over sponsors van Ron Dennis, de voormalig teambaas van McLaren. De jonge Lewis Hamilton moest toen eens weten wat voor successen hij zou bereiken in de autosport...
