Website Formule 1 verraadt Portugal als racelocatie voor 2021

Het heeft er alle schijn van dat de Formule 1 al een tipje van de sluier over de locatie voor de race op de open plek tussen de Grands Prix van Emilia-Romagna en Spanje heeft gelicht. Op de ticketpagina van de officiële Formule 1-site stond namelijk ook de 'Formula 1 Heineken Grande Prémio de Portugal 2021'.

Dat duidt erop dat de deal met Portimao om op 2 mei weer een Grand Prix te organiseren nagenoeg rond is. Het circuit in de Algarve ontving de koningsklasse van de autosport vorig jaar voor het eerst. De baan werd alom geprezen door de rijders, al was het door het stof en de lage temperaturen nogal glad. Hopelijk hebben de coureurs daar begin mei minder last van.

De Formule 1 heeft de ticketpagina inmiddels aangepast en Portugal weer uit het rijtje verwijderd, maar zo stond de Portugese Grand Prix tussen de overige 22 races vermeld:
